Staff Spotlight

Meet Joel York, a Collection System Operator who has been part of UTSD for about 2 years. Drawn to the District by its strong values and culture of teamwork, Joel appreciates feeling supported and invested in as an employee.

He lives in Allenspark with his girlfriend, Rebecca and their two senior dogs, Annie and Sharma. His favorite thing about living and working in the Estes Valley is the sense of community and access to outdoor recreation. When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find Joel practicing martial arts, fly fishing, shooting archery or playing billiards. A rock-climbing trip to the Greek island of Kalymnos tops his travel list, and he hopes to one day catch a steelhead trout on a fly rod.
